For the past 40 years, until 2024, the International Choral Magazine has been published quarterly and distributed electronically to IFCM members in all continents (more than 90 countries). Originally a simple information sheet (1981), this publication has quickly become a multilingual journal of research and international information on choral music. It has become the official voice of choral music throughout the world. Current and past issues can be consulted online or downloaded. Translation of all the articles into French, German and Spanish began in 1991. Today, in its new blog format, the International Choral Magazine continues to provide articles in the four official IFCM languages. The wish of the Editorial Board is to offer even more languages.
What does the IFCM International Choral Magazine contain?
The International Choral Magazine offers a forum for choral leaders to discuss the importance of choral music in their respective countries. It contains articles related to choral music and activities in a country or a region, or on a theme such as music education; repertoire; techniques; international news; information about IFCM, ICCM, Musica International; record reviews, etc.... The IFCM International Choral Magazine acts as a medium of exchange with choral musicians, offering access to a large, international readership passionate about choral music. The e-ICM includes a regularly up-dated calendar of international events, such as choral festivals, competitions, seminars and workshops.
The IFCM uses this tool to communicate in real time with the membership about all interesting news on the choral world and the IFCM events.

Cantemus Songbook and Octavos Series (1992-2005)
The songbook project Cantemus was created in 1992 to assist choral conductors in finding fresh, accessible, and interesting international repertoire. The songbooks contain collections of medium-to-easy choral music. Most of the music was selected from repertoire performed at international choir festivals and competitions. All four of the Cantemus songbooks, along with CD recordings of the pieces contained in the books, are available from the publisher: Gehrmans Musikförlag. In 2005, a new octavo collection is available under the editing of the IFCM Multicultural and Ethnic Commission, published by earthsongs.
Official magazine of the International Federation for Choral Music, the International Choral Magazine is published quarterly in the four official languages of IFCM: English, French, German and Spanish. It is distributed in more than 80 countries on the five continents and is the official voice of choral music around the world. Publication temporarily suspended.
