We received the sad news that Ron Jeffers passed away on August 23 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Thanks to his leadership, earthsongs that he founded in 1988 will continue to support multicultural choral music through its worldwide publication.
Professor Emeritus Ron Jeffers served as associate professor and director of choral activities at Oregon State from 1974-1982, and as associate professor of theory & composition from 1982-1998. Choral director, composer and enthusiastic musician and publisher, he made a huge difference in choral music by bringing music from all over the world, making it available to all. Rest in Peace!
