Seeking Basic Specific Information on the Ways Beginning Conducting Is Taught Internationally
Published: Jun 29,2018

Classes (size, number of meetings?) or individual instruction? How much conducting study is available or required? How much practical conducting experience is available? Does instruction include score study, solfege, listening skills? Is a textbook used? How important are metrical beat patterns?
Please include any specifics of the situation you think relevant. Thank you, Wayne Abercrombie (Professor Emeritus of Music, University of Massachusetts Amherst, U.S.A.)
