Víctor Alarcón Díaz was a great choral conductor and a licentiate of music from the Catholic university. He also started his musical career in Punta Arenas as a member of the famous folkloristic ensemble of the "Patagonia 4" region, and then grew professionally on a national and international level.
Díaz was currently an academic at the University Music Institute Catholic church of Chile and teacher coordinator of the project "Grow Singing" from the city theater of Santiago. He was indeed the soul of this program that enabled thousands of children in Chile to approach choral singing. He was an example of how things can be done with effort and commitment.
