We are happy to announce that the next session of the World Youth Choir will take place in Bonn, Germany, followed by a tour with concerts in Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and Italy. This session will be organized within the context of the Beethoven Anniversary Year festivities, joining the National Youth Orchestra of Germany (Bundesjugendorchester) for a programme with Beethoven’s 9th Symphonyand a commission work by Tan Dun entitled Nine.
Session dates: July 30 (day of arrival) to August 20 (day of departure), 2020
Artistic Team: Tan Dun (USA), composer of the commissioned work who will conduct the first concerts including the Gala concert in Bonn; Jörn Hinnerk Andresen (Denmark), conductor; and World Youth Choir Alumni as soloists.
The auditions material and information on the session will be sent to the national recruiters in August 2019, much earlier than in previous years. The three patrons of the WYC kindly ask you to join them againin their common efforts to reach and recruit as many great singers around the globe as possible.
