The International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM) was founded in 1982 and for the purpose of facilitating communication and exchange between choral musicians throughout the world. Through its diverse range of projects and programs since that time, the IFCM is fulfilling its purpose.
One of IFCM’s projects is the World Choral EXPO - an event addressing the choral needs of the international choral community. It aims to provide an opportunity for choral singers, choral professionals, conductors, composers, and music educators to interact and learn from world-renowned choirs and their conductors. The next World Choral EXPO will be held in Lisbon, Portugal from the 3rd to the 7th of September 2022.
For the duration of the festival, we will host twelve invited choirs, two professional groups, and many participants, both individuals, and choirs. The EXPO will consist of:
Are you aged between 18 and 35? Do you want to be a part of the organizing team of World Choral EXPO 2022? Then this is a call for you. IFCM opens a call for YOUNG, Youth International Cultural Managers, to be a part of EXPO 2022. You will have a chance to be a part of the team and get great experience in working closely with the organizing team of EXPO 2022.
Selected young managers will not need to pay a participation fee, and food and accommodation (from August 26 until September 9) will be provided by IFCM. However, IFCM is unfortunately not able to cover the travel expenses.
Selected young managers will be able to attend concerts or rehearsals or some of The Singing Network EXchange sessions depending on their responsibilities in the organizing team and their schedule.
Also, selected young managers will have two free workshops designed especially to help them improve, exchange knowledge and grow in the cultural management world.

Selected participants will be informed by the 1st of April. To secure your place in YOUNG, we will ask you to provide a copy of your flight/train/Bus ticket to Lisbon as soon as it's booked.
