Two IFCM Vice-Presidents meet the newly created Turkish Youth Choir
Published: Mar 15,2024

The Turkish Youth Choir held its first rehearsal 1-3 March 2024, at the Historical Hall of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in Ankara. The choir enjoyed a pleasant visit by two IFCM Vice-Presidents, Jan Schumacher (Germany) and Burak Onur Erdem (Türkiye).

The choir was founded in cooperation with the Choral Culture Association and the Choral Educators Association and is conducted by Atilla Çağdaş Değer, with Gizem Berrak Taş Güzeloğlu and Pınar Çanakçı Çavdur serving as assistant conductors.

The Turkish Youth Choir, consisting of young musicians from all over Türkiye, will meet again in Ankara in May for a 3-day rehearsal camp.

The choir's objective is to promote cultural exchange by collaborating with national youth choirs from various countries worldwide and to highlight the universality of music through joint projects.
