☕️ Did you miss the IFCM Members' Cafe on Repertoire?
Published: May 08,2024
The recording of the IFCM Members Online Cafe "On the Discovery of New Repertoire, Part 2" (28 April 2024) is now available.

IFCM Board member Darius Lim welcomed Ana María Raga (Venezuela) and Peter Walker (UK). Ana María is one of the composers whose works were premiered during the 2023 World Symposium on Choral Music in İstanbul, Türkiye. Peter received a special recognition for his piece "Light" in the 2023-2024 IFCM Composition Competition. Ana María and Peter shared and talked about a few of their works; it was a delight to hear each composer speak about their own creative journey.

The audience was eager to know more... Do they ever let their emotions influence their compositions? Do they update their compositions after hearing them performed, or do they just leave them as they are? How do they manage to be true to themselves while also pleasing the market? In one sentence, what would they say to aspiring composers?
