The fourth edition of the Fosco Corti International Competition for choral conductors will take place in Turin (Italy) from 23 to 25 October 2026.

Friday 23 October 2026
Preliminary round (in 2 stages): 18 participants
Saturday 24 October 2026
Semi-final rounds (in 2 stages): a maximum of 10 conductors will be admitted.
Sunday 25 October 2026
Final rounds (in 2 stages: rehearsal and performance): a maximum of 5 conductors will be admitted.
Who?
Choir conductors born after 1 November 1986 and who have reached the age of 18 by the date of the competition are eligible to enter.
Jury
The international jury is made up of 5 music personalities: Julia Selina Blank (Germany), Risto Joost (Estonia), Karmina Šilec (Slovenia), Gianluca Capuano (Italy) e Maria Dal Bianco (Italy).
Choirs
The participants will compete performing with top-class choirs:
Preliminary round: Libercantus Ensemble from Perugia (Italy)[mixed choir], Coro La Rupe from Quincinetto (Italy) [male choir]
Semifinal round: Tölzer Knabenchor from Munich (Germany) [children’s choir], Coro da Camera di Torino (Italy) [mixed choir]
Final round: Youth Choir Kamēr… from Riga (Lettonia) [mixed choir]
Prizes
First prize: € 2.000 and diploma
Second prize: € 1.500 and diploma
Third prize: € 1.000 and diploma
Special prizes
G. Abbà special prize for the youngest conductor admitted to the final: € 500
Special prize Noël Minet Fund of the Friends of the European Choral Association: Scholarship of up to 500 € for a promising young conductor to attend a training course in 2027/28
Final concert audience prize: € 500
Noël Minet Scholarship
Please note that participants in the Fosco Corti International Competition are eligible to apply for the European Choral Association’s Noël Minet Scholarship. This scholarship offers a reimbursement of expenses of up to € 500 per participant. The deadline for applications is 30 April 2026. You can find information and details on how to apply for the grant on the ECA website.

Entries should be sent by 31st May, 2026 at latest.
Finalists will be announced within 15th July 2026.
