Therefore, Mrs. Emily Kuo Vong who is President of the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM) creatived and launched to produce this meaningful video, and the International Cultural Center of Monte Real in Portugal joined hands with IFCM to call on all the friends from the whole choral community across the world to pass the best wishes to China.

All throughout 2020, concerts, festivals, and a range of other cultural events will be held in and around Bonn, Germany, in honour of Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th anniversary of birth. This Anniversary Year commences on 16 December 2019, the (probable) 249th birthday of arguably the most famous son of the city of Bonn. The Anniversary Year will come to a close on 17 December 2020, the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's Baptism.

One of the largest and most significant IFCM projects, World Symposium on Choral Music (WSCM), is entering its final preparations for 2020. Next summer (July 11-18, 2020), the central focus of the international choral community will be in Auckland, New Zealand. At the moment, all choral eyes and ears are turned on New Zealand in anticipation of the extraordinary gathering they are planning. In the meantime, IFCM has already begun preparations for the next edition of WSCM in 2023.

In late June 2019, the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM) launched a new international youth choir, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Countries' Youth Choir, which rehearsed and performed in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, and Beijing, China. Comprised of singers and instrumentalists from 16 of the 18 countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), the youth choir of 54 singers, ages 19-35, were conducted by André de Quadros (India-USA) and Maria Goundorina (Russia-Sweden).
