The America Cantat 10 Festival will take place in the City of La Plata, Argentina (capital of the Province of Buenos Aires), 11-15 October 2023. We will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first version of America Cantat which was held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, in 1992.

The Korean Federation for Choral Music (KFCM) was established in 1976 for the expansion and globalization of the Korean choral music. KFCM joined the International Federation for Choral Music (IFCM) in 2005. Here are some updates on the Federation that hosted the World Symposium on Choral Music in Seoul in 2014 and that just elected a new President for the next three years.

We are happy to announce that the World Symposium on Choral Music (WSCM), one of the biggest events of the International Federation for Choral Music, will be held in Turkey from 25th to 30th of April 2023 with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In the framework of World Choral EXPO 2022, IFCM has created a program for young choral managers. YOUNG Youth International Management Program aims to give ten selected young individuals from all over the world an opportunity to learn and expand their knowledge and skills in the international cultural field by working closely with the WCE organising team. Building on the success of the YEMP program (Young Event Management Program) which the European Choral Association has organised for many years as part of Europa Cantat and the fact that IFCM currently has three employees who are former YEMPers, we want to provide an opportunity for young choral organisers from across the globe to gain experience on the spot as well as invest in the future of IFCM.

We regretfully announce the passing of Christoph Kühlewein on 11 May 2022. Christoph was the Secretary General of the European Federation of Young Choirs (now European Choral Association) between 1976 and 1982. He later became a member of their Music Commission and then an advisor. Christoph conducted several choirs including a French-German choir in Paris.

The Friends of the European Choral Association is a community of individuals, choirs, and other legal bodies who wish to support the work of the European Choral Association through their membership and through fundraising activities. The association also administers the Noël Minet Fund Scholarship which provides support for participation in some training activities for young singers, conductors, or composers with limited economic resources.
